In the intersection between “motion” and “motive” the iconic work of Alexander Calder keeps pushing boundaries across time.

Best known for his creation of the mobile, Alexander Calder is one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century.

Featuring eight sculptures, ten works on paper, and one painting, this show marks the gallery’s first presentation dedicated to Calder’s work since the opening of its New York space at 540 West 25th Street in 2019.

This exhibition highlighted specially, the less known production of the artist made on paper made between 1960 and 1970. The “mobiles” on display were produced over three decades.
